CLI
npx chocolate-ui <command> — a thin wrapper around the shadcn CLI plus license and MCP helpers.
| Command | What it does |

init | Adds the @chocolate registry to components.json, downloads chocolate.css and imports it. Runs shadcn init if needed. |
add <names…> | shadcn add @chocolate/<name> with your license key exported. |
search <query> | Searches the public index from the terminal. |
login [key] | Validates and stores your key in ~/.chocolate-ui/config.json. |
logout / status | |
mcp | Runs a stdio MCP server that proxies the remote one — for editors without remote MCP support. |
CI
Set CHOCOLATE_LICENSE_KEY (or a personal API token choc_…) as a secret. The CLI reads it before the config file.
